I guess you could just say, "I teach them how to find 'it' ".

This whole gifted thing is something I as a Christian come across often. There are passages in scripture that talk about God giving out different gifts and whatnot. And as far as I'm concerned, God is God and I am man. HOWEVER, thanks for the article because instead of being an elitist, you have encouraged me to think of God's gifts as "life experiences" versus "life skills". He gives us different yet equally valuable opportunities to humans.

I think when people say "gift", they do not really focus on the "Giver", they say "Look what I can do."

This hold so true to the tone I am starting 2012 with. There are these blockages, we create them, we empower them, and we allow them. Well, we can also own them, and that is a little notch on our headboard that will benefit us later. I spent too long running from these issues. The key is to embrace them.

It really is a perpetual conundrum. I find, that the biggest asset to being in LA is that some of the indies and shorts down there have the budgets of some of the shows up here. I fully agree with this article, I also would add that being in LA is an example to make more great ¨unofficial¨ stuffs. I love reading these!

[...] Vancouver’s top acting coach, Matthew Harrison, thinks branding is so important he teaches it once a week in his career and business workshop called “Actor’s Deliverables”. I highly recommend you attend one of these as it will be the best $40 you have ever invested in your career. Find out more here. [...]

Your thoughts that "it" is just simply LIFE makes so much sense. Because I feel that everyone essentially is an actor, because actors call upon their experiences to feel how the character would be feeling. So anyonewho has experienced hurt, love, etc. has the potential to act! Thanks Matthew

I loved this essay so much because it simply hands us actors a road map and sending us on to our futures! And I can't wait to look into my next character and next scene and apply the three words I just learned here. It'll take my acting to a hole different level. Thanks Matthew!
