Class Description
Get the heart of what it actually takes to book commercials, by focusing on understanding your place in the entire commercial production process – from marketing concept and honoring the brand to the surprisingly large number of people actually involved in the casting decision and what they all have at stake. When the workshop is done, you will be positioned as a ‘commercial casting collaborator’ and will be carrying the most successful mindset into your auditions. They’ll be fun and you will be successful!
To get a full sense of the approach, read Jeb’s blog post on Commercial Booking
Get on your feet and start playing with the technique. Master how to grab and keep attention, and keep it all the way through the audition. We’ll nail the most simple and effective approach to the dreaded ‘tell us something about yourself’ audition and of course we’ll also work from lots of commercial sides. We’ll apply the rules and use them to determine how your character needs to be played in order to fulfill the marketing message of the spot.
Jeb brings both acting and sales to his extensive knowledge of commercial acting. Combining a degree in business and fifteen years in sales and marketing with his stage, film and TV credits, Jeb has carved himself a substantial career in commercial acting with his specific and effective commercial acting technique.
