KNOW YOUR HISTORY – BUILD YOUR FUTURE

Explore the vitality of screen performances from the 1920′s to the 1950′s with the viewpoint that great artists have been solving the very kinds of problems faced on contemporary movie sets for 100 years, and by knowing their solutions, we can be standing on the shoulders of giants.

Examine changing acting styles through the decades with an eye toward the possibility that we’re not so modern as we think. We’ll look at techniques, physicality, star power, social issues, director’s voices, and the conversation artists have with audiences.
