Robin Nielsen trained in Los Angeles at “Playhouse West”, sister school to the famed “Neighborhood Playhouse” in New York and is part of the ‘pre-foundry’ days having worked with Matthew Harrison for over a decade.
Robin has been instrumental in the discovery, and honing of The Actor’s Foundry’s ‘Three Pillars of Acting’, and as such is entrusted as ‘the keeper of the process. Robin is designated as the teacher responsible for setting the fundamental groundwork for all actors coming to The Actor’s Foundry, ensuring that they have a sound, practical ownership of the process and are grounded in their instruments.
Robin has an extensive stage and film, and television career in Los Angeles and Vancouver with film credits that include Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Indie Jonesing, King of Fighters, Stan Helsing, Riding the Bullet, Mr. Magoo, and Helen, premiering at The Sundance Film Festival 2009 – television highlights include:
