Robin Nielsen (Teacher, Coach)

Robin Nielsen trained in Los Ange­les at “Play­house West”, sis­ter school to the famed “Neigh­bor­hood Play­house” in New York and is part of the ‘pre-​foundry’ days hav­ing worked with Matthew Har­ri­son for over a decade.

Robin has been instru­men­tal in the dis­cov­ery, and hon­ing of The Actor’s Foundry’s ‘Three Pil­lars of Act­ing’, and as such is entrusted as ‘the keeper of the process. Robin is des­ig­nated as the teacher respon­si­ble for set­ting the fun­da­men­tal ground­work for all actors com­ing to The Actor’s Foundry, ensur­ing that they have a sound, prac­ti­cal own­er­ship of the process and are grounded in their instruments.

Robin has an exten­sive stage and film, and tele­vi­sion career in Los Ange­les and Van­cou­ver with film cred­its that include Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Indie Jonesing, King of Fight­ers, Stan Hels­ing, Rid­ing the Bul­let, Mr. Magoo, and Helen, pre­mier­ing at The Sun­dance Film Fes­ti­val 2009 – tele­vi­sion high­lights include:
