A two-week, all-encompassing summer camp designed to take the young actor from passion to profession. By combining the best of the original Foundry Intensive, Audition Training, and Audition to Wrap Director Weekends, as well as Set Day and Actor’s Deliverables, this is your opportunity to cover everything the professional actor needs from craft to business. Culminating with feedback from industry experts, and a specific ‘next steps’ plan of action for professional-minded TEEN Actor.
Week 1: The CRAFT of Acting
Through specific intensive exercises, learn and apply the process of: Scene and Story. Emotions and Truth. Focus and Action. Working on one exhaustive scene from film, apply the process and techniques to: Rehearsal. Blocking. And Performance.
The first week ends in a showcase performance for a live audience which will include several industry professionals (e.g. Agents, Directors, Producers, Casting, etc).
Week 2: The PROFESSION of Acting – “Career Week”
Day 1: Commercial Booking
with Jeb Beach – a practical review of how to adjust your work for commercial acting. Slating, ‘Tell us something about yourself’, ‘reading the pitch’, ‘working in the callback’.
Day 2: Film and Television Audition Technique
with our audition coach Bradley Stryker. Bradley will take you through the keys to success “In The Room”.
Day 3: First Reads and Preparation
Bradley will get you ready for shooting day with carefully chosen materials selected individually to suit the actor – THEN
Day 4: Set Day.
Get on camera, and film with Film and Television Director, Jason Bourque. Set up the shots, talk the story out, get it shot. When you’re not acting in your scene, you’re part of the crew – setting up lights, sets, getting it done. Recreate the actual experience of being on set.
Day 5: Career Day.
Review of your work, and your marketing materials. Define your Actor Brand, and look at how everything lines up. Define what you need to be focusing on to push your career forward. Create a specific action plan of “deliverables” to put into motion for the upcoming busy season!
